Microservices were sold as an autonomy story — independent teams, independent deploys, independent tech choices. The half they leave out kills companies in year three. Pure autonomy becomes entropy. Pure governance becomes a distributed monolith. Structured autonomy is the boring middle answer, and it's the only one I've seen survive the second org chart change.
